I was lucky enough to visit Lyon, France a year ago while studying abroad in London. Lyon is a best kept secret of Europe; a magical city that any food lover can only dream of. The streets of Lyon are lined with “bouchons,” tiny bistros that serve traditional Lyonnaise food such as sausages, duck pate, and tripe for the daring.
Ahhhh and here is my favorite meal of my travels. I received this at a small bistro “Le Pave de Saint Jean.” L’Entrecote, meaning the center cut of steak, served with roasted vegetables, potatoes gratin, and a creamy dijon sauce.
Any city with a street named Rue Du Boef gets an A in my book. And the whole drinking wine at 9am thing doesn’t hurt either.
